FoodFirst Information and Action Network

FoodFirst Information and Action Network (FIAN) is an international human rights organisation that advocates for the basic human right to food. Founded in 1986, FIAN consists of 18 national sections and individual members in more than 50 countries. FIAN has consultative status to the United Nations and supports people whose right to food is threatened. FIAN analyses and documents instances  of right-to-food violations. It also raises awareness of the right to food among social movements, non-governmental organisations, and governmental bodies.
